I have been a school counselor for nearly two decades. In that time I was an integral member in helping Woodland Elementary to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School 2016 by the U.S. Department of Education. The National Blue Ribbon is our nations highest honor for a school.
I was also recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Public Education in conjunction with the Wisconsin School Counselors Association when our team was awarded the School Counseling Team of the Year in 2019-2020.
It has been my honor to be apart of four public education teams that raised the overall scores of the school from meeting expectations to exceeding expectations.
Lastly I have been a part of 12 different years when our school was awarded Wisconsin's highest honor, the Wisconsin School of Recognition Award. It has been great to work as a team player with amazing educators, students and families.
I love being an educator and an integral part of a successful team. I know that building relationships and caring for one another is the key to success, that and a lot of hard work. My greatest joy is to be a part of positive change in children and their families. Education has been my life’s work and I am thankful to serve our community and our families.
2024, is the year where "Wellness" or healthy habits, guides our community.
